Below is a collection of reads and resources I’ve found handy. Why just links this week? Because I woke up at 2:30 this morning and didn’t get back to sleep until 8:30. You better believe sleep issues will be its own post, if not an entire series. Enjoy this week’s How Odd Is My Bod!

Before I get too far—and speaking of odd bods—my sister was hospitalized while uninsured recently. Please help!
- SOCIOLOGY FOREVER: Why sex and gender matter to our health, and why it’s essential for modern medicine to be, well, modern.
- BODY AWARENESS: My hearing is shit and getting worse because I didn’t bother to protect my ears at concerts. I did a formal hearing test years ago in a soundproof room that creeped me out, but I’ll be trying this one out to re-check my poor ears.
- CHLIDHOOD TRAUMA: I struggled to understand that what I experienced as a child was traumatic. I thought trauma was too dramatic for me. However, studies like this show why we need to stop underestimating our experiences, and start understanding how trauma affects our bodies.
I love finding links and sending resources, especially to articles I found interesting. If you enjoyed this style of post, please let me know!
